Kellys Plumbing: Thanks for having me, it's lovely to be here. Always happy to have a natter about the business.

Host: So let's start right at the beginning. What actually led you into plumbing in the first place?

Kellys Plumbing: Honestly, it was less a lightbulb moment and more a slow realisation that I liked fixing things and I liked people, and plumbing let me do both. I started out working alongside other tradespeople and just kept noticing how often customers were left confused or frustrated by the process, and I thought there had to be a better way to do it.

Host: What kind of things were frustrating customers back then?

Kellys Plumbing: Mostly it was the not knowing. People would get a call-out, then a quote, then suddenly the price had crept up halfway through the job, and they felt like they couldn't say no because the pipe was already in bits on the floor. That really stuck with me, and it's a big part of why upfront, flat-rate pricing became so important to how we run things now.

Host: Do you have a particular moment from your career that really confirmed you'd chosen the right path?

Kellys Plumbing: There have been plenty, but it's usually the small things, a customer genuinely relieved that the price matched the quote, or someone commenting that you'd not have known a plumber had even been round because everything was left so tidy. Those little reactions are what keep me proud of the way we do things.

Kellys Plumbing: Just that every job, whether it's a leak, a blocked drain, or a full bathroom install, gets treated with the same care and honesty that got me into this trade in the first place. That hasn't changed and it never will.
